Walter "Bill" May, 81, of Greenbrier, Ark. passed from this life on June 23, 2013. He was born on April 12, 1932 in Springhill to the late Earl and Alberta May. Bill was an army veteran, served in the Korean War, a life member of the Masonic lodge, an avid outdoorsman, and an active member with the Arkansas Trap Shooting Association. Bill is survived by his loving wife Jean, one son; Michael May, one daughter; Bev Finch (Phillip), three grandchildren; Amy Finch, Greg Finch, Amanda Scout Finch, one sister; Mary Helen Berthelot, and many friends too numerous to mention. He is also preceded in death by his three sisters. A Funeral Service was held in his honor on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier at 1 p.m. with burial to follow at Springhill cemetery. Visitation was held on Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. In Lieu of flowers the family asked memorials to be made to the Bill May Memorial Scholarship Fund (Arkansas Trap Shooting Assoc.) 61 Vestal Drive Lonoke, Ark. 72086.
