Kenneth E. Harvey, 87, of Conway passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013. He was born February 18, 1926 in Russell, Arkansas to George and Eva Harvey. Those who went before him included his mother and dad; an infant twin brother; three siblings, Marie, Donald Wayne, and James Carroll; one nephew, James Carroll Jr. and a great grandbaby, Katelynn Nicole. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Cahaba in the South Pacific theatre during World War II He was also a 32nd degree Mason. He retired from Phelps Fan Manufacturing as Manager of Manufacturing after 42 of dedicated service. He was a loving and compassionate husband to his surviving wife of 67 years, Wandene, who was his high school sweetheart and the love of his life. He leaves to cherish his memory their two children, Kenny Harvey (Jacque) and Tammy Harvey Lamberson (Randy); three grandchildren, Aimee Benton (Trey), Cole Harvey (Kelli), Ryan Lamberson; one step-grandchild, Terri Byassee (Brad); three great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Geneva Ward, Marvin Harvey (Mildred), Loyd Harvey (Phyllis), Georgia Meadows, and Wanda Brown (Floyd). Visitation will be Saturday afternoon, June 29, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy, with services following at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Carter Cemetery, Russell, Ark. The Harvey family would like to say a special Thank You to the management and staff at Southridge Village of Conway, Ark. for their professionalism, loving hands and warm hearts in the care of him.
