Patricia Anne Fordyce

Patricia Anne Fordyce, age 57, of Little Rock died June 27, 2013. Anne was born in Camp Pendleton, California, the daughter of John R. Fordyce, III and Patricia C. Fordyce. Anne earned a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from Memphis State University. She was a professional artist, journalist, photographer, horse trainer and horseback riding instructor, greatly loved and appreciated by her students. She was national marketing director for equestrian products for Tucker Saddlery in Memphis, Tennessee, and Yoakum, Texas, and a realtor in Little Rock. She was editor of the Mid-South Horse Review. She was an accredited judge in the United States Equestrian Federation. She was the manager of the Arabian Horse Show in Memphis and Show Secretary of the Germantown Charity Horse Show. She was also secretary of the Arkansas Hunter Jumper Association. Besides her interest in horses, she was a Master Gardener, antique collector, marathon runner and the Grand Award winner of the Arkansas Art Center Delta Art Exhibition in 1990. Anne is survived by her mother, Patricia C. Fordyce of Austin, Texas; her father, John R. Fordyce, III and his wife, Linda, of Little Rock; brothers, John R. Fordyce IV and his son, J.R., of Little Rock; William C. Fordyce and wife, Karen, and their two children, Carly and Emily, all of Austin, Texas; sister, Elizabeth D. Fordyce, and her children, David Reunard, of Little Rock and Kenneth Reunard and wife, Lauren, of Austin, Texas, and their infant son, Oliver; step-sisters, Diane G. Newcomb and husband, Steve, and their children, Shannon and Matthew, all of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; Mindy G. Gipson and husband, Thom, and their children Garrett, Brooke and Sam, all of Williamsburg, Virginia; Leslie G. Cunha and husband, Gabe, of New York City; and step-brother, Dean A. Garrett, of Little Rock, and his daughter, Laine, of Greenbrier. Anne will also be missed by her Whippet named Brother. The family is grateful to the staff of UAMS and Hospice Home Care for their compassionate care. Loving appreciation also goes to Anne's lifetime friend, Marsha Argue Bozeman.
