Francis Allen (Frank) Gaither
FRANCIS ALLEN [FRANK] GAITHER was born July 27, 1945 in Memphis, Tenn. His
parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gaither. He died on Friday, June 28, in his
home.
Frank moved to Little Rock in 1971 and was employed as the Glidden Paint Department
Manager for F.W. Woolworth and became a specialist in his field. Later he moved to
Lowe's and worked in contract sales until he opened his own business in 1987 with an
interest in graphic design. For the next 26 years he was a Graphic Designer and
provided services to major corporations and organizations throughout the Little Rock
area. He retired in 2003 but continued as a consultant to companies in the realm of
graphic designing.
Retirement enabled him to engage in some special interests that he had not been able
to do during his working years. A very special interest was landscaping and holiday
decorating, especially Christmas, his favorite season of the year. Frank was an avid
movie enthusiast and could identify all actors, plots and special effects of various movies.
He had a great love for all animals and supported all organizations that were committed
to their well-being.
He was raised in the Catholic faith, attended Catholic schools and remained a deeply
spiritual person throughout his life. He also served his country in the U.S. Army, being
stationed in Germany.
Frank is survived by two brothers, Al Gaither of Springhill, Fla. and Joseph Gaither of Sanibel, Fla. and his life partner of 41 years, Dr. K. Richard Knoll.
The Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Pulaski
