LOUNDUFFIE "JACK" "MACK" MCSWAIN, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, departed this life June 26, 2013 at St Vincent Hospital. "Jack or Mack" as he was known was born to Verge W. and Josephine Edward McSwain Sr. in Humnoke, Ark. June 17, 1941. He accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. J. D. Walker at the Mt Morriah MB Church in Humnoke, Ark. He remained there until uniting with the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church of Little Rock, where he served faithfully as an usher and president of the United Methodist Men until his health failed. He loved family and the fellowship it offered. He was united in marriage to Betty White, to this union one child was born. He later met and married Leah Bailey. He attended school in Allport, Ark. and graduated from Gartrell High School in England, Ark. He attended Shorter College. He served in the U.S. Air force and received an Honorable Discharge. Mack retired from the Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer. He continued to fellowship with retirees of the Railroad on a monthly basis. His calm, quiet and caring presence will always be remembered by all he came in contact with. His beloved family will miss his calm demeanor. Cherishing his memory are his wife, Leah Bailey McSwain; his daughter, Latonya R. Jones (Clarence), Little Rock,AR; one son, Darren McNeal (Carlene), Westerville, Ohio; one Brother, Verge McSwain Jr., Little Rock; three sisters, Fannie Hill, Julia Thomasson of Stuttgart, Ark., Elizabeth McSwain of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Latallya Rice of Little Rock, Ark., Miles and Channing McNeal of Westerville, Ohio; his beloved great-grandson, Jayden Jones of Little Rock, Ark.; and his special nieces, nephews and a host of cousins whom he loved and friends to whom he was always loyal. A celebration of his life will be on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 1109 South State Street, Little Rock, Ark. Family hour will be, Tuesday, July 2, 2013, 6-8 p.m., at Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home Chapel, 1200 S. Chester St. Little Rock (501) 372-1305.
