Don Gary Ewing

Don Gary Ewing, of Benton, Arkansas passed away on February 26, 2013 at the age of 63. Don was born January 29, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas. He retired from JCPenney after 37 years, 13 of which were spent as manager of the JCPenney in Benton. Don was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served as Grand Knight. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club in Ada, Oklahoma, and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Benton, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his father, Irwin Cooke Ewing II, and brother, Irwin Ewing III. Don is survived by his wife of 32 years, Deannine, mother; Evelyn Ewing of Kerrville, Texas; sons John Ewing, and wife Tammy, of St. Paul, Minnesota, Jake Ewing, and wife Callie, of Irving, Texas; daughters Dawn Simmons, and husband Drew, Larissa Glover, and husband Chris; brother Tom Ewing, and wife Becky of Houston, Texas, sister-in-law, Sylvia Ewing (widow of Irwin) of El Paso, Texas, and granddaughter, Mary Ewing. A rosary in honor of Don will be held at 8:15 p.m. Friday, March 1 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
