Rogers resident Marjorie Ford Marugg-Wolfe, Ed.D., a nationally recognized advocate for the educational aspirations of single parents, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, age 79. Marugg-Wolfe was instrumental in founding the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Benton County, the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund, and ASPIRE, a nationwide support network for single parent scholarship programs across the country. Marugg-Wolfe received the President's Community Volunteer Award at the White House in 2002, the Arkansas Community Service Award in 2005, and the University of Arkansas Outstanding Alumna in Education in 2012. Funeral will be Saturday, March 9th, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Fellowship Bible Church of Northwest Arkansas in Rogers. Memorials may be made in honor of Marjorie Marugg-Wolfe to Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Benton County (spsfbc.org) or ASPIRE (aspireus.org).
