Ruth Anne Bratcher

Ruth Anne Bratcher, 83, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2013. She died with her son at her side. Ruth Anne was born in Grady, Arkansas, on Nov. 19, 1929, one of five children of Woody and Mable Tooke. Ruth Anne was a long time member of Henderson United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women organization. She worked at Southland Building Products for most of her adult life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edwin Bratcher, Jr., two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her son, Don Bratcher of Little Rock, and a niece, Karen Richardson, of Keller Texas, whom Edwin and Ruth Anne raised and loved like their own daughter. A cousin, Patricia Owen King, of Richmond, Texas was very special to Ruth Anne and the thoughtful cards she regularly sent brightened Ruth Anne's day. The family would like to thank Michelle and her staff at Chenal Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation for the care given to Ruth Anne over the last three years. Ruth Anne's final days were spent in the company of angels at Arkansas Hospice. The care demonstrated by everyone on this staff was uplifting. A Graveside Service will be held at Grady Cemetery in Grady, Arkansas, on April 6, 2013 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to Arkansas Hospice, online at www.Arkansashospice.org or 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, Ark. 72116.
