Anthony "Tony" Capalbo

Anthony "Tony" Capalbo, 89, a resident of Little Rock, and formerly of Pine Bluff, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at North Metro Hospital in Jacksonville. Born February 3, 1924, in Rhode Island, he was a son of Sylvester and Louise Aiello Capalbo. Mr. Capalbo was reared and received his early education in Westerly, Rhode Island. He entered the United States Army after graduation. Anthony Louis Capalbo married Karla Hester on July 2, 1965, in Pine Bluff. He was a crane operator in construction and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. Mr. Capalbo was known by his whole family as Nonoots, Italian for grandfather. Mr. Capalbo was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Karla Capalbo of Little Rock; three sons, Mike Waymack of Pine Bluff, Rusty Waymack of Rogers, and Anthony Capalbo Jr. of Louisiana; one daughter, Kim Erwin-Louks of Little Rock; two granddaughters, Shaina Erwin and Lorri Dunn both of Little Rock; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Sylvester Capalbo of Rhode Island. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend James Watson officiating.
