Thomas Eugene "Tom" Montgomery

Thomas Eugene "Tom" Montgomery, age 79, of Alexander passed away March 5, 2013. He was born November 11, 1933 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Tom was a retired overland Transporter for several different Funeral Homes, a former Saline County Reserve Deputy, and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Mamie Montgomery. Survivors, wife, Wanda Montgomery, Alexander; sons, Mike Montgomery, Benton; Steven Montgomery, Alexander; daughters, Lori Montgomery, Tina McCullough, and Amy Montgomery, all of Iowa; brothers, Jimmy Montgomery and Douglas Montgomery, both of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; sisters, Betty Broughton, Coker, Alabama; Carolyn Mullenax, Echola, Alabama; and Libby Crawford, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ashby's. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Pine Crest Cemetery by Ashby Funeral Home. Minister will be Bro. Doug Pruitt.
