Tony Alan Rogers, 39, passed away, Monday, March 4, 2013. He leaves behind his children, Emelia (Eme) Faye, 10, Anna Rea, 9, and their mother, Kari Holitik; grandmother, Ann (Grammie) Mertens; sister, Michael Ann Galloway (Dr. Randy) and children, Hunter and Micah cousins, Aaron Williams and Clayton Williams (Stephanie), as well as other friends and family. He was pre ceded in death by paternal grandparents; maternal grandfather; parents, Jimmy and Mary Theresa Rogers; aunt, Debbie Williams. Born and reared in North Little Rock, Ark., he spent his working life as a chef at local restaurants, such as, Shugs, Brave New Restaurant, Sonny Williams' Steak Room and the Faded Rose. He earned the "Arkansas Times Best Chef" runner up in 2006. Tony was an avid sports fan, fisherman and successful musician. He enjoyed making people laugh, sharing his passion for music with his nephews and cooking for Grammie, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his girls, the loves of his life. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 at Arkansas Funeral Care, 2620 W. Main St. Jacksonville, Arkansas. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 with Dr. Marty Watson officiating at Arkansas Funeral Care, 2620 W. Main St. Jacksonville, Arkansas. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
