Maggie Leece (Spann) Holiman, 92, of Camden, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. She was born March 5, 1921 in Fairview Community, Saline County, Arkansas. She was the 12th child of a family of six boys and six girls. She was the daughter of Christian parents, Carry Sylvanius and Ollie Victoria (Adams) Spann. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a former member of Calvary Baptist Church. She served as an original member of Clark Ministries Association. She was the first secretary for Camden High School and Whiteside School in the 50's. She served in church planting in the Northeastern United States for ten years with Poineer Missions, working with the former Manhatten Baptist Church in New York City under the auspices of the Home Mission Board. She was office supervisor for Calvary Baptist Church in New York City. In Arkansas, she worked for the Constitutional Convention and the Legislative Council and Attorney, Ralph G. Brodie. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Henry Alvin "Dutch" Holiman, her son, Michael Alvin Holiman of Concord, North Carolina and her 11 brothers and sisters. Survivors include daughter, Nancy Jo Clark of Camden and her children, Jimmie Reed Clark of Star City and Family, Carole Ann Wright of Glenwood, AR and Family, and Nancy Kay Swint of Arkadelphia and Family and daughter, Trelvia Ann Scholl and husband, Bill of Fort Myers, Fla.; and daughter-in-law, Michael's wife, Helen Holiman of Concord, North Carolina and Family. There are many nieces and nephews. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Proctor Funeral Home with graveside service following at 2:00 PM at McPherson Cemetery in Sardis Community, Saline County, Arkansas. Dr. Richard Piles of First Baptist Church, Camden, Ark. will officiate the memorial service and Bro. Martin Jones of New Life Church in Arkadelphia, Ark. will officiate the graveside servce. Pallbearers will be Jimmie Reed Clark, Jimmy C. Wright, Reed Clark, Christopher Cook, Jordan Golden, Joshua Huneycutt, and honorary pallbearer, Grant Clark.
