Dayron J. "Blinky" Hartwick, 88, of North Little Rock, passed away on March 9, 2013. He was born on September 29, 1924 in Quitman, Arkansas to Austin and Vida Qualls Hartwick. Mr. Hartwick was a Retired SMSgt in the Arkansas Air National Guard, serving in WWII and in the Korean War. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a 50-year member of Crescent Lodge No. 403. He was a Beekeeper, was active with the Beekeeper's Association, and was a charter member of the Bradford - Ross Hunting Club. Mr. Hartwick is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dorothy Hartwick of North Little Rock; three daughters, Linda Curran and husband Mike of North Little Rock, Dian Johnson and husband Jamey of Springdale, Arkansas, Lisa Conley and husband Marty of Pollard, Arkansas; two sons, Lynn Hartwick and Chuck Morgan both of North Little Rock; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Taylor Phelps. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church on JFK Blvd. Burial will be in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
