Al Zell

Al Zell, 91, was reunited in Glory and for eternity with his wife of 46 years, Betty, who recently passed away on January 30th. Al passed on March 10, 2013 surrounded at his bedside by immediate family members who continued to pray for healing or peace. Born on March 5, 1922 in Sioux City, Iowa, Al moved to California for his career in retail management and there he stayed loyal to one company for over twenty five years. Al & Betty moved to Arkansas to enjoy their lives close to their daughter Kathleen Braune, her husband John, and grandchildren Jonathan & Paige. Al was a veteran who served honorably in the Merchant Marines, a devoted husband, loving father to Rheeta Zell, Mark Zell, Kathleen Braune and Charlene White, huge fan of his grandchildren Jonathan & Paige Braune, Cody Zell, Jessica Risdon, Angela Bartholomew, and other great grandchildren across the country. Al is preceded in death by his three brothers, one sister, but leaves a vibrant Zell family from East to West coast who joined him in Arkansas for his 90th birthday celebration. He often commented and wanted it mentioned of his appreciation of family and the deep love that will always be eternal.
