Charles S. Lane

Dr. Charles S. Lane, Jr. 93, of Fort Smith, died March 13, 2013 Methodist Nursing Home. He was born May 28, 1919 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to the late Charles Spurgeon Lane, Sr. and Anna Marie Temple Lane. Dr. Lane was a physician, specializing in Otolaryngology, from 1950 through 1986. Dr. Lane is survived by one daughter, Sherard Lane Chapline and her husband Ed, of Arlington, Texas; one son, Dr. Charles S. Lane, III and his wife Carol, of Hot Springs, AR; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two unborn great-grandchildren arriving this year. He is also survived by his niece, Ann-Marie Cornett of Gulfport, Miss. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Roselawn Cemetery.
