Billy Dwane Shaw

BILLY DWANE SHAW, 85, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Chenal Heights Nursing Home. Billy was born on May 10, 1927 in Morrilton, Ark., to the late Ernest F. Shaw and Birdie Etta Bradley Shaw. He was a furniture store manager, an officer of Arkansas Furniture Association, and a World War II Navy Veteran, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, avid Razorback fan. After retirement, he worked for years as a greeter in the IBC Recreation Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. Billy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Frances Shaw; one son Jim Hamilton (Ruth) of Bryant, Ark.; two daughters, Mary Alice Henry (Joe) of Little Rock, Ark., Tina Sanford (Keith) of Cave Springs, Ark.; grandchildren, Sherri Jones (Casey), Brandi and Josh Sanford, Carole Dalton (David), Beth Rudisill (Brian) and Ashley Henry; great-grandchildren, Brittany and Sydney Jones, Lexi Hall, Elizabeth and Will Dalton, Caroline and Grant Rudisill, Kallen Henry, and Lana Gibson; one sister, Frances Rhodes, of New Orleans, and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 2 p.m., at Immanuel Baptist Church, 501 N. Shackleford Road, Little Rock, Ark. with Reverend Phil Spigner officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, March 25, 2013 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. (501)224-8300.
