Wanda Fields

Wanda Fields of Conway lost her long, hard battle with both brain and lung cancer on March 25, 2013. Wanda was born in Barwick, Georgia on March 18, 1946 to the late Glen and Marie Matlock. Wanda worked for Turnage Employment Service Group in Conway for years until she retired in 2011. She was extremely creative and enjoyed making flower arrangements, wreaths and many various crafts. Always eager to lend a helping hand, she worked as a volunteer for several years for the annual event, Fesitval of Trees sponsored by Carti. Wanda was a very caring and giving person who continually put the needs of others before herself. She will be greatly missed by the many people who love her. Wanda is survived by her sons, Kevin Fields (Rena), of Cabot, Kyle Fields (Bill) of Bentonville, one brother, Glen Matlock (June), of Richland,Georgia, one sister, Glenda Sizemore (Jim) of Newnan, Georgia, numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and a host of precious friends. A memorial service will be held for Wanda in the near future; date, time and location to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made, in honor of Wanda Fields, to Carti to further the fight against this devastating disease. Checks payable to the Carti Foundation, P.O.
