Jeanne McCain Duke

Jeanne McCain Duke died April 20, 2013, while in hospice care at St. Vincent's Infirmary Medical Center. The daughter of the late George Edward and Lucille Stanphill McCain, Jeanne was a resident of Jacksonville, Arkansas for most of her life. A graduate of Jacksonville High School, before her retirement, she was a dedicated employee of the Arkansas Power and Light Company (now Entergy) where her work family and the customers they served were extremely important to her. An avid reader, she will be remembered as a gifted storyteller. She is survived by her brother, George Edward McCain (Bud), with whom she made her home, her son, Franklin L. Duke and her daughter, Kathleen Duke Ross and her husband Harris E. Ross, their daughter Caroline Ross-Wojcik, her husband David Wojicik and the child they expect in the fall, many extended family members and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home & Crematory (501) 982-2136.
