JOHN A. JACKSON "JOHN DOG" 63, of Little Rock, Ark., departed this life on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Jackson; three brothers and one sister. He leaves to cherish his memories wife, Margaret Jackson; three sons, Jonathan Maxwell (Tennika) of Melissa, Texas, David Smith of Little Rock, Ark., and Anthony Jackson of Camden, Ark.; three daughters, Ebony Brown (Lavester) Lillington, N.C., Kia Jackson of Little Rock, Ark., and Alexis Jackson of Reno Valley, Calif.; four step-children, Buddy Wilson (Theda), Atlanta, Celeste Massey (Larry), North Carolina, Angela Young (Ray), Little Rock and Greg Wilson (Pam), Little Rock; two brothers, Warren Harris (Yvonne) Los Angles, Calif., and Alvin Willis (Joann) Houston, Texas; four sisters, Emma Thomas (Edward), Chicago, Ill., Mary Hadley St. Louis, Mo., Yvonne Jackson and Beverly Smith Little Rock, Ark.; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends; a very special friend, Shekia (his dog). Home going services will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, 11 a.m., at St. John Baptist Church, 26th and Main Street, Little Rock. Interment will follow at Haven of Rest cemetery. Family visitation will be on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. Chester St. Little Rock, (501) 372-1305. The family will be at 424 W. 32nd Street, Little Rock.
