Vernon, Ark. to Clayton and Millie Caruthers who preceded him in death. He was a gentle, kind, and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Caruthers was a retired Army veteran and was a J.C. Penney employee until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents; siblings, Vernice Adams, James Caruthers; and his step-mother, Bernice Conder Caruthers. Cherishing his memory are his two daughters, Elka Lang (Chris), and Barbara Russ (Gary); six grandchildren, Ashley Russ, Lindsey Russ, Jennifer Fithen (Dan), Jonathan Ledrick, Kellie Robertson (Joseph), and Candice Lang; five great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Myers (Wayne); sister-in-law, Betty Caruthers; nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Judy Harris, Dr. Sauer, and the staff of Hospice Home Care for their loving assistance in caring for Mr. Caruthers in his final days.
