Anna M. (Ann) Berryhill

Anna M. (Ann) Berryhill was born on July 16, 1926 in Sparkman, Ark. and passed away on April 29, 2013 in Mansfield, Texas. Her parents were Noah Beasley and Katherine Hopper Beasley, whom preceded her in death. Anna was also preceded in death by her sister, Noel Dean Simpson; her son, Joey Alfred Berryhill and her spouse, Carlie A. Berryhill. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ann was a talented seamstress and an active member of the Killeen Garden Club for many years. She loved being a home maker. She was devoted to her family, church, and Country. Ann was an active Church and Community volunteer. She started the "I Can Cope" support group through the American Cancer Society, after she had breast cancer surgery in 1978. As there were no resources in the Killeen area; she helped train volunteers to visit and assist post-surgery breast cancer patients with breast prostheses, as well as emotional support. Ann traveled the world as a Military wife. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church from 1973 until declining health in 2010; when both Ann and Carl moved into The Meridian Assisted Living Facility in Temple, Texas. After almost 68 years of marriage, Carl passed away on March 28, 2011. Ann has lived at Walnut Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care near her daughter and family in Mansfield, Texas since 2011. She is survived by daughter, Carlon (Berryhill) Cloud, son-in-law, Gerald L. (Jerry) Cloud of Mansfield, Texas. Granddaughters; Robin L. Cloud of Grand Prairie, Texas and Alison (Cloud) Palermo and spouse Kenneth G. Palermo of Houston, Texas. Great-granddaughter, Riley Cloud of Grand Prairie, Texas, great-grandson, Cason Cloud of Grand Prairie, Texas; and great-grandsons, Kyle Palermo and Kory Palermo of Houston, Texas. Sisters; Virginia Meeks, Majorie Fleming and Catherine Crawford all of Arkansas. Numerous nieces, nephews and many long-time friends survive her. Guests may call upon the family for a time of visitation on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Services will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. Burial will be held in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at 12 p.m. where she will be interred next to her beloved Carl. Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen is in charge of arrangements.
