Jolly Darrell Robertson

Jolly Darrell Robertson, 89, of Oppelo, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013. He was born November 17, 1923 in Oppelo, a son of Wesley Robertson and Bethel Hamilton Robertson. He was a commercial plasterer, and former bait store/gas station owner near Nimrod Lake. Jolly is survived by his wife of 70 years, Flora McVay Robertson; two daughters: Beverly Meyer of Benton, Phyllis Prickett of Benton; brother: James Robertson of Rockwall, Texas; three grandchildren: Teddy and Matt Battles of Chicago, Illinois and Rusty Prickett of Benton. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Robertson and four brothers. Funeral services: 2 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Gene Tanner officiating.
