JoAnn Hollis

Mrs. JoAnn Hollis, 78, of Fountain Hill, died Monday, May 6, 2013 at the Woods of Monticello Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Hollis was a native of Palmyra, Arkansas and a resident of Fountain Hill for 60 years. She worked at Burlington Industries for 28 years. She loved her church and was an active member of the Eden Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Delores Allison; her parents, Dixie & Mary Lee Beard Wilkerson; two sisters, Joyce Adams and Dixie June Cossey. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ralph Hollis; a son, Charles Ralph Hollis, Jr. and wife, Ann, all of Fountain Hill; three daughters, Sherry Harville and husband, Wesley, of Pine Bluff, Lana Carpenter and husband, Dennis, of Arkansas City and Beverly Harville and husband, Mike, of Hamburg; a son-in-law, Paul Allison of Fountain Hill; two brothers, Jerry Wilkerson of Little Rock and Tommy "Buddy" Wilkerson of Bastrop, Louisiana; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the Eden Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Gregory and Rev. Keith Hicks officiating. Burial will be in the Flat Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jonathan Harville, Landon Carpenter, Chad Allison, Michael Harville, Cody Hollis and Ron Tippin. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Bailey, William Adcock and the Deacons of Eden Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Eden Baptist Church, 3748 HWY 133 N., Hamburg, Ark. 71646.
