Barbara Lee (Ervin) Glasco

Barbara Lee (Ervin) Glasco, age 72, of Russellville, went to be with God on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home. She was born January 13, 1941, at Newport, Arkansas, to Kenneth Gordon and Eva Lee Owens Ervin. She was a very loving, caring and creative person, a gifted teacher of preschoolers; very adept at creating centers for teaching young children. She was a wonderful fun loving companion to her husband and family. She doted on her grand and great-grandchildren, and loved all children. She will be sorely missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael, in 2005, and a brother, Kenneth, in 2006. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert; a son, Kenneth of Olathe, Kansas; a daughter, Tracy (Steve) Gist of Russellville; a sister, Mozell (John) Hannah of Benton; four grandchildren, Sean Glasco of Alexander, Michael (Whitney) Poole of Pottsville, Katelyn Glasco of Kansas City, Missouri, and Kyle Glasco of Olathe; two step-granddaughters, Vanessa (Scott) Lambert and Kara (Jonathan) Asner, both of Pottsville; five great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013, at the Shinn Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Doug Hambrick. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. Active pallbearers will be Michael Poole, Steve Gist, Jonathan Asner, Kyle Glasco, Sean Glasco and Scott Lambert. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 10:30 a.m., until service time, at the funeral home.
