Charlotte Lucille Bowden

Charlotte Lucille Bowden, 92, of Lonoke passed away in her sleep at Lonoke Nursing and Rehab on May 9, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband Jake Thomas Bowden, Sr., her parents W.G. and Laura Roberts, her brother and sister-in-law Archie and Muriel Lee Roberts, and sister and brother-in-law Oscar (Nub) and Claribel Finch. She was born in Caraway, Arkansas on May 28, 1920. She was known by many names, Miss B, Momma B, Granny B, Aunt Cille, Grandmother and Mother. From 1966 to 1988, she put a smile on the faces of many people with cheese dip and ice cream through the window of the Dairy Bar. She leaves behind her son Jake Thomas Bowden, Jr. (Skip), grandchildren Jake Thomas (Tammy) Bowden, III ( Trey), Laura(Reid)Willmann, William Sullivan (Rob), and great-grandchildren Heather Bowden, Charles Willmann and Sidney Lucas, nieces and nephew, Cheryl(Les) Anderson, Keith (Karen) Finch and Kathy Finch who might as well have been her kids. She was a woman ahead of her time and the end of an era. She will be greatly missed. Graveside service will be held at 4 p.m on Saturday May 11, 2013 at Lonoke Cemetery.
