Marjorie Francille Sharp Foggo of Haskell, Arkansas, died at age 85 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas on Thursday, May 9th, 2013. Francille was born on September 22, 1927 at Lockesburg, Arkansas, to Merry Sharp and Veda Harrison Sharp. She graduated from Lockesburg High School near the end of World War II and became a registered nurse in 1950. She married Sidney Smith Foggo at her home town of Lockesburg, Arkansas on August 18, 1951. They eventually settled in Little Rock where she worked as a nurse at Baptist Medical Center while they raised five children. Wanting to live the country life, the family moved to Haskell in 1969 and attended Traskwood Missionary Baptist Church. She was an instructor at the LPN school in the BMC School of Nursing before retiring from Baptist Medical Center after 35 years. Many nurses remember her legacy there. Fran loved children and babies, was raised to work unceasingly and never stop going. The family was the center of her life and she was happy as long as her family was around; there was nothing else she wanted. Her only desire for holidays and gifts were for her children to be with her; her Mother's Day request was for all her children to visit her. She is survived by her children, Pamela Bowen and Joseph Shelby of Scott, Kenneth Foggo of Eureka Springs, Brenda Price of Benton, Howard Foggo of Benton, and Sidney and Ruth Foggo of Alexander; her six grandchildren, Misty Bowen-Eubanks, Andrea Drake, Sydney Foggo, Ian Foggo, Taylor Edmondson, JoAnn Hollingsworth, and Brian Shelby; and six great-grandchildren, PJ Hollingsworth, Kinley Davenport, Annie Eubanks, Audrey Edmondson, Leah Edmondson and Lucas Drake. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three siblings, Elory Sharp, Harold Sharp, and Melba Shute. Visitation with the family will be at the Roller Ballard Funeral Home chapel on Saturday, May 11th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Fran will be interred beside Sidney at Mt. Harmony Cemetery after a funeral service at the Roller-Ballard Chapel on Mother's Day, May 12th at 2 p.m. The family suggests that memorial contributions in her honor be given to the Alzheimer's Association Oklahoma/Arkansas Chapter 2448 E. 81st Street, Suite 3000, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74137-4250; or First Missionary Baptist Church of Traskwood, 73085 Highway 229, Traskwood, Ark. 72167.
