L. M. Lynch, Jr., 84, of Pine Bluff, passed away peacefully at his home on May 6, 2013. He was born on July 22, 1928, the son of Luther Martin, Sr., and Daisy Monday Lynch in Dardanelle, Ark. He was the youngest child of seven children and was raised in the Wabbaseka community where his father was a successful farmer. L.M., as he was called, attended Arkansas A and M and served in the US Army during the Korean War. After discharge from the service, he attended Dental School in Kansas City, Mo.. Upon completion, he moved his young family to Pine Bluff to begin his dental practice, which he enjoyed for 35 years. He made numerous friends and always greeted them with a big smile. He was an avid bird hunter and enjoyed cooking up a platter full of fried quail. He became involved with competitive bird dog trials, and could often be found in faraway places looking for a new dog. He was also a concerned citizen of Pine Bluff and sat on the school board for many years, serving as its President. He served as a Deacon at First Presbyterian Church. His most cherished activity, however, was spending time with his precious daughters and grandchildren. He was eager to share his sense of humor as well as his homespun wisdom.
