Wanda Lowry Pedron, 85 of Kirby, formerly of Stephens, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at the National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs. Wanda was born Dec. 31, 1927 in Waterloo to the late Clifton Henry and Ruby Wade Lowry. On May 27, 1944 she married James R. Pedron who preceded her in death on March 9, 1974. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Brenda J. McEwen, two brothers, and six sisters. Wanda is survived by her son James (Pete) Pedron and wife Carolyn of Kirby; two grandsons Michael and Laurie McEwen of Thomasville, N.C. and Russell and Jenifer Pedron of Kirby; three granddaughters Jaime and Shane Young of Hot Springs, Michele and Joshua Hill of Ruston, La. and Janice and Joseph Suit of Hot Springs; son-in-law David McEwen of Stephens; sister Patsy and Billy Cauldwell of Stephens; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Lewis Chapel with Billy Golden and Jerry Arrington officiating. Burial will follow at the Stephens Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
