Nona Elizabeth Talley was born on November 15, 1914 to Elijah and Elberta Brown Jordan in Little Rock, Arkansas. She departed this life on May 11, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her parents; Grandfather Joe Brown; brother and sister, Joseph Jordan, Sr. and Addie L. Parker; daughters Letoria Winters, Artelia Williams, and Shirley Brown. She was affectionately known as "Aunt Nona." Religion was important and on the Sunday before her 10th birthday, she was baptized at Longley Baptist Church in Little Rock. She later became a member of Greater Center Star Baptist Church and in 1950 she reunited with Longley Baptist Church. She was active in the Mission Society (20 years as President), Gospel Choir, Mothers' Board, Hospitality Committee, Sunday School Department and PALS Ministry (Pioneers at Longley). She retired from the Little Rock School District in 1976 and from child care in 1985. After retirement, she was actively involved in various Senior Citizens Programs in her community. She is survived by her children, Joseph (Linda) Jordan, Jr., Rita (Billy) O'Donald, Doris (Marthell) Murphy, Ruby (Johnnie) Campbell, Charles (Gloria) Jordan, Eddie Bee Talley, Michael Talley, and Carolyn Faye Taylor, a host of grandchildren, great-grands, nieces, nephews, and many other loving relatives and friends. Special thanks to Briarwood Nursing & Rehab Center, Lynn Johnson (Big Jean) and Sharon Burgess (Little Jean), her special caregivers. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 and Family Hour will be 5:30-7 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013, both at Longley Baptist Church, 9900 Geyer Springs Road, Little Rock, Rev.
