WILLIAM LEON BROCK, 94, of Little Rock died on May 16, 2013 at Alcoa Pine Nursing Home in Benton, Ark. He was born on May 16, 1919 to Grover and Lula Brock in Murfreesboro, Ark. He is survived by his wife of approximately 70 years, Emma Jean Brock; sons, Tom (Tommye) Brock of Little Rock and Hank (Sonia) Brock of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Jason Brock, Tara (Robby) Dennie of Little Rock, Shawn and Kim Brock of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; six great-grandchildren, Reagan, Anderson, Graham, Campbell, Keaton and Whitman Dennie of Little Rock; two sisters, Louella Terrell of Murfreesboro and Ruth Tabor of Sparkman; as well many nieces and nephews. Leon was a United States Navy veteran and served his country during World War II. He attended Southern Baptist College, graduated from Ouachita Baptist University, and studied at New Orleans Baptist Seminary. He received a master's degree in counselor education from the University of Arkansas as well as a master's in history. He was a Southern Baptist minister pastoring churches in Twist, Wallins Chapel, Malvern, Forest Tower near Sheridan, Fayetteville, Gravel Hill and Lonsdale. He also was a high school teacher and guidance counselor. He also served as Director of Field Services for the Arkansas Rehabilitation Services for the Blind. In addition, he worked with the deaf and juvenile delinquents. After retirement, he also worked as a funeral director in Little Rock, Benton and Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, May 20, 2013 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, 13801 Chenal Parkway Little Rock, Ark.
