Myrtle Marie Henry, 91, of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013. She was born August 4, 1921 in Humphrey, Arkansas to William Lee and Ella White Hainley. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 33 years, Burt D. Henry; brother, James D. Hainley and her son, Billie Hardin. She is survived by her step-children, David Henry and Peggy McElrath; step-son and daughter-in-law, Carol and Saville Henry; grandchildren, Cindy Henry, Cal Henry, Bo Hardin and Jeff Hardin; great-grandchildren, Heather Lindsey, Tyler Lindsey, Brittany Hardin and John Hardin and her niece, Anita Guillory. Myrtle grew up on a farm in Humphrey, Arkansas. Her first business was a sixteen-station beauty shop on 11th and Main called Madame Marcelle. She married Burt Henry, a farmer, and they became very active in running their 35 hundred acre farm, as well as owning a store. In addition to the farm they had a Dodge dealership in Lonoke and Protho Manor Apartments. Her proudest achievement was being the recipient of Honored Professional, an award from the Library of Congress. She loved flowers, life, people, game shows, sports (huge Razorback fan), chocolate and high heels. She worked full time every day of her life until she was 85 years old. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, a Smith Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park.
