Dennis Ray Crigger

Dennis Ray Crigger passed away May 23, 2013. He was born September 23, 1946 in Norfolk, Virginia to Bernard Price and Freda May Mullins Crigger who have both predeceased him. Dennis' father was career Navy so they lived several places around the country during his childhood, but he spent most of his formative years in Florida where he graduated from Milton High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served as a medical Corpsman attached to a Marine Corps unit in Vietnam. Upon discharge he attended the University of West Florida earning a Bachelor's Degree and went on to attain a Masters' of Social Work at the University of West Virginia. Dennis was employed by the Veterans Administration and spent his 32 year career in service to veterans at both the Little Rock and North Little Rock hospitals and as team leader of the Vet Center in North Little Rock. Dennis was a life-long outdoor enthusiast, enjoying jogging, camping, hiking, backpacking, bicycling and scuba diving. He was an avid reader and music collector. He is survived his wife of 33 years, Joan Rabjohn; sister, Sandra Jackson of Jacksonville, Florida; brother Van Crigger (Merwin) of Niceville, Florida; brother-in-law, Bill Rabjohn (Sharon) of Rector; many special nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; extended family in West Virginia and Kentucky and many cherished friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Marianne Harrington and her dedicated staff for their excellent treatment and support during his illness and to the Sequoia Team at Arkansas Hospice for the compassionate care and comfort they provided.
