Ordell Virginia Becton, age 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Magnolia surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sept. 7, 1925 in North Little Rock, Ark. to Herschel E. and Rellie (Powers) Corbin. She was a homemaker. She was a charter member of Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Magnolia. Ordell was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. Preceding her in death are her parents; one son, Jerry Mack Becton; two sisters, Wanna Brockinton and Devonna Deville and one brother, Buddy Corbin. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband for over 69 years, John M. Becton of Magnolia, Ark.; one daughter, Jane (David) Hill of Magnolia, Ark.; three sons, Gary (Glenda) Becton of Magnolia, Ark., David (Cindy) Becton of Brandon, Miss., Jim (Pam)Becton of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister in law, Jeanne Corbin Baker of Hunnington Beach, Calif.; extended family and host of friends. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Becton officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home in Magnolia. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
