Darrel Royce Humphrey

Darrel Royce Humphrey, age 73, of Crossett, Ark., passed away on May 25, 2013, at Pinewood Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on Sept. 23, 1939 in Beekman, La., to his parents, Ernest Shelby Humphrey and Altha Lee Goleman Fletcher. Mr. Humphrey was a pulp mill foreman for International Paper for many years and retired from Georgia Pacific in Crossett. He was an avid fisherman, loved all kinds of music and especially loved spending time with friends and family. Mr. Humphrey was a member of First Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kay L. Gannon. Survivors include: two sons, Darrel R. Humphrey Jr. of Alexandria, La., Stephan Humphrey of Crossett, Ark.; two sisters, Gayle Strebeck and husband, Tommy, Rita Grider, all of Crossett, Ark.; several nieces and nephews that he loved very much; and a very special loved one, Mildred Nease and her children. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at First Church of God. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark.
