Herbert Vance Satterfield

Mr. Herbert Vance Satterfield age 75, of Lexa, Ark. died Sunday, May 26, 2013 at his home in Lexa. Mr. Satterfield was born Dec. 26, 1937 in Memphis, Tenn. He was the son of Lee Mason Satterfield and Frances Elizabeth Pettus Satterfield. Mr. Satterfield was retired from Entergy where he was the assistant plant manager at the Ritchie Power Plant. He attended Arkansas State University where he received a degree in Agri engineering with a minor in math and chemistry. Mr. Satterfield was a Baptist. Mr. Satterfield married Mildred Joyce Hunt in 1973. She survives him along with five daughters, Renee Lindsey and husband Mark of Warrior, Ala., Christy Fitzwater and husband Rick of Collierville, Delores Parks and husband Tommy of Bossier City, Angela Chaney and husband Brad of Allen, Texas and Carla Morrison and husband Benji of Tyler, Texas and a brother Gene Satterfield of Forrest City. Twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive him. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home in Forrest City.
