Garvin Luther Thompson

Garvin Luther Thompson, 86, of Star City, died Monday at Lincoln Heights Healthcare in Star City. He was born March 11, 1927 in Star City to the late Neely and Effie Spharler Thompson. Also preceding him in death were two brothers; Jake Thompson and Marvin Thompson, 2 sisters; Lola Thompson and Lois S. Jones. Survivors include three sons; Gary (Linda Kay) Thompson, Terry Glenn (Carol) Thompson and Jerry Dean (Cindy) Thompson, all of Star City, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Graveside services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Heflin Cemetery with Bro. Joseph Lindsey officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
