Reita Ann Parker, 78, of Little Rock died Sunday, May 26, 2013. Born December 25, 1934 in Little Rock, she was the daughter of Merrill and Gladys Small Parker (Linthicum). She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Little Rock where she was active in children's programs and sang in the choir. She earned her master's in education from the University of Central Arkansas and taught first grade for thirty-four years at Terry, Brady and Franklin elementary schools in Little Rock. She enjoyed vocal music and loved children and dogs. Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by a brother James M. Parker and his wife, Judy, of Conway and by an uncle, Morris Parker of Little Rock. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock (501) 661-9111 with Dr. John Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Little Rock Choir Fund.
