Bernice N. Dennis

Funeral service for Bernice N. Dennis, 84, Lawton, will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 4, in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Earl Jenkins, Pastor, Crystal Hills Freewill Baptist Church officiating. Mrs. Dennis died Wednesday, October 30 in Lawton. The family will greet friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, November 3 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fort Sill National Cemetery. Mrs. Dennis was born February 10, 1929 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Samuel J. and Naomi (Coleman) Lyons. She married Hugh W. Dennis on July 1, 1954 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2013. She had worked as a radiology technician at Comanche County Memorial Hospital. She was also a seamstress and had been active in the Quilt Guild. She enjoyed reading mysteries and baked wonderful yeast rolls. She had been active in the Center for Creative Living. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Samuel and Julia Dennis; a stepdaughter, Linda Dennis; five grandchildren, Billy Shawn Dennis, Ethan Crellin, Sarah DeLeon, Tracie and Shelbie; a sister, Verdie Redus; a brother, Samuel Lyons, Jr. An online guest book and sympathy cards are available at www.beckerfuneral.com.
