Ronnie Earl Carr, 66, of Cabot, died Monday, October 28, 2013. He was born July 6, 1947 in Paragould to the late Bernard Earl and Bobbie Jean Blackburn Carr. Ronnie was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a retired computer analyst with EDS, served as the President of Florissant Valley Junior College in St. Louis, Missouri and coached basketball at Cabot Jr. High School. Ronnie grew up in St. Louis and later lived in Columbia, Poplar Bluff and Houston, Texas before settling in Cabot. He was a very strong man, enjoyed his CB radio and loved his grandson, Riley very much. Survivors are his loving wife of almost 37 years, Neila Sue Jordan Carr of Cabot; his daughter, Ashleigh Jordan Carr of Cabot; his grandson, Riley Blaine Waller; his sister, Debbie Carr Slover of Troy, Missouri; his brother, Barry Carr of Kentucky; a host of nieces and nephews; and many friends he considered family in Arkansas, Missouri and Texas. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2013 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the funeral home, with Michael Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Linwood Cemetery in Paragould. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
