Harvey H. Dodson, Jr.

Harvey Horace Dodson J.R. or "J.R." age 64 of Benton, went to his home on October 31st, 2013. He was born August 27th 1949 in Benton to Harvie and Juanita Dodson. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Edward Dodson, a sister Lucy Kaye Dodgen, sister in law Sherry Dodson, and a grandson Eric Daniels. J.R. is survived by two daughters: Amanda Badgett (Donny) and Mary Daniels (Eric) of Benton, siblings: Mary Ragsdale (Charles) of Benton, Sherry Polzin (Dan) of Paron, Ricky and David Dodson of Benton. He also leaves behind his five grandchildren: Jordan Addie, Haleigh and Jasper Badgett, Kapriesha and Tyiesha Daniels all of Benton. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends as well. Those that knew J.R. know there are many stories to tell but none other than the love he had for his family, childhood stories, and the days at deer camp or on the lake. For the time he was here he left an impression on many and will be missed by many. We, his family, would like to thank all the staff of Arkansas Health Center for their compassion they showed him for almost two decades, you made it his home. Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2013 with burial to follow at Ten Mile Cemetery.
