Charles Wayne Jones

Mr. Charles Wayne Jones, 69, of Sherwood passed away peacefully at his home on November 3rd, 2013. He was born on July 23rd, 1944 to parents Robert and Helen Jones and is preceded in death by his parents, a son Tony Jones and a brother Robert Jones. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Debra Kariker Jones and his children, Joseph Jones of Minneapolis, Minn. and Bailey Jones of Sherwood. As well as his grandchildren, Tobias Jones and Rebecca Jones and one brother, Gerald Jones and his wife Carlota of Little Rock. He was a loving and devoted father and husband who enjoyed spending time with his family and his church family as well. He enjoyed fishing, camping and RV'ing. He retired from the Sherwood Police Department in 1998 and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7th, 2013 at Friendship Baptist Church in Sherwood at 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. at the church. www.griffinleggettresthills.com.
