Gabrielle Kurz Lilly

Gabrielle Kurz Lilly, 58, passed away on November 4, 2013. She was born on March 31,1955 in Malvern, Ark. Gabrielle attended school in Lonoke and earned degrees from UCA and UALR. She was a beloved teacher in the Lonoke Schools for over 35 years and touched many lives. She loved spending time and traveling with her husband, Steven, and her two sons, Jay and Orion. The family was able to visit all 50 states and traveled extensively in Europe making regular trips to visit her family in Germany. Gabrielle was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Wilhelmine Kurz and Johan and Maria Wanner. Survivors include her husband, Steven Lilly of Lonoke, sons, Jay (MonaLiza) Lilly of Natick, Mass. and Orion Lilly of Fayetteville, Ark., parents, Albert and Beta Kurz of Lonoke, sister, Magdalena (James) Bailey of Sun Prairie, Wis., brothers: Albert (Margie) Kurz of Kirksville, Mo., Tony (Kim) Kurz of Dalworthington Gardens, Texas, Rudy (Terri) Kurz of Lonoke, Berni (Marilyn) Kurz of Fayetteville, AR, and Ben (Sandi) Kurz of Castro Valley, Calif. Other survivors include a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins in Germany as well as nieces and nephews. A rosary service will be held at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke at 5 p.m. on Wednesday followed by visitation from 6-8 p.m. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Rose Catholic Church in Carlisle.
