Joel Dale Burchfield

Joel Dale Burchfield 74, of Greers Ferry, Ark. passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at his residence. He graduated from Dermott High School where he was involved in ROTC. He served with the National Guard during The Central High Crisis. Mr. Burchfield served for over 15 years in law enforcement with the state police and several local police departments. Mr. Burchfield was born in Dermott, Ark. to Pauline Reppond Burchfield and the late Clyde Burchfield. Other than his father he is preceded in death by his first wife Linda Cooper Burchfield, two brothers; Gail Burchfield and Jerry Burchfield. He is survived by his wife Rhonda Burchfield of Greers Ferry, Ark., mother Pauline Burchfield of Halley, Ark., two sons; Lynn (Melissa) Burchfield of Washburn, Mo., Kenneth (Robin) Burchfield of Fayetteville, Ark., daughter Dana Burchfield of McGehee, Ark., step-son Danny (Heather) Matthews of Pensacola, Fla., step-daughter Vanessa Goodman of Springfield, Mo., a sister, Annette (Troy) Gray of Halley, Ark., grandchildren; Bethany Burchfield, Brent (Sarah) Burchfield, Emily (Jamie) Hayworth, Tyler Burchfield, and Logan Burchfield; great-grandson Forrest Burchfield. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 at Halley Baptist Church with Bro.
