Martha Sue (Susie) Mashburn Dixon, 59, of Benton, died Saturday, November 2, 2013 at her home. She was born to Dr. William R. Mashburn M.D. and Elizabeth Lee Bernelle (deceased) on May 10, 1954. Susie attended Hot Springs High School Class of 1972 and was a student at National Park Community College in Hot Springs. In 2012 she married the love of her life, Richard Dixon. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and attended the Benton Ward. Susie was a student pursuing a teaching degree. Her hobbies included working in the garden and loved to make football mums. She loved being a wife and a mother. She remained a lifelong friend to many of her high school classmates. Susie worked with The Star Telegram and American Airlines from 1982 to 2008. She often said her fondest moment was "when I met my Richard and he took me to Outback in Hot Springs". Susie is survived by her husband, Richard Dixon of Benton; father and stepmother, William R. Mashburn M.D. and Wanda Mashburn of Hot Springs; brothers, Carl Gregory Mashburn of Little Rock and William R. Mashburn of Hot Springs; daughters, Andrea Binnion and husband Gene and Rhonda Lytle and husband Shane, and four grandchildren, Mitchell, Dillon, and Coyote Vineyard, and Collin Lytle all of Ft. Worth. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) in Benton, Ark. at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013.
