Frank E. "Tiny" Hughes, age 91, of Malvern passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Malvern Nursing Home. He was born April 17, 1922, in New DeRoche, the son of the late Charlie and Glenner Thornton Hughes. He was a 50 year member of Rockport Masonic Lodge #58 and loved hunting and gardening. He worked for Reynolds Metal Company at Jones Mill for 30 years, where he worked with other plants in Arkadelphia, Massena, New York, Florence, Alabama and Corpus Christie, Texas. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Bonnie Powell Hughes; brother, Sylvester Hughes and sister, Willie Efird. Left to cherish his memory, daughters, Peggy Patrick (Dale) of Bel Air, Maryland, Judy Ray (Jerry) of Cabot and Susan Bryant (Winston) of Little Rock; brothers, James Hughes of Bedford, Indiana, Marvin Hughes (Carolyn) of Hot Springs, Adolph Hughes (Jean) and Johnny Hughes both of New DeRoche; sisters, Mary Ellen Wedsted of New DeRoche and Bonnie Allen (Elster) of Bismarck; grandson, John Bryant of Little Rock; special friend, Frankie Kratz of Malvern and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, November 8 from 6-8 p.m. at Regency Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 9 at 10 a.m. at Regency Funeral Home with Brothers Terry Parish and Edgar Sulton officiating. Interment will be at Prairie Bayou Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald Efird, Royce Hughes, Harold Hughes, Paul Allen Hughes, Danny Hughes, Alan Hughes, Mike Hughes, Marty Allen, Wendell Allen, Jay Hughes and Kevin Hughes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Powell, Vance Wedsted and David Hughes. Memorials can be made to CARTI, P.O. Box 55050, Little Rock, Arkansas 72215 or a charity of your choice.
