Billy Jackson

Billy G. Jackson, 70, of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013. He was born May 9, 1943 to Basil and Elma Jackson and was the 6th child born. He had four sisters and three brothers. He loved life, his family and was a very proud and loving man. He was the type of man who took care of his family. To take care of his family he took on a wide variety of jobs. He worked at NASA, at hotels and was at one time the only qualified mechanic for Mazda in the State of Arkansas. He was a bartender and a bouncer. He was married on March 6, 1964 to Bettie Coker. Billy is survived by his daughters, Linda Stacy (Jesse) and Christina Montross and son, Ronnie Jackson, five grandchildren Jesse Wayne, Billy, Joshua, Danielle and Michael and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, son Shelby, brother Donald Jackson and his parents. His grandchildren were his life and meant the world to him. He spent time with his grandchildren, camping, fishing and so much more. Through good and bad, Billy was always there. He was the glue that held his family together and a rock for his friends. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m., Friday at Harmony Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home.
