Charles Aaron Russell

Charles Aaron Russell, 94, of Beulah, Miss., passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Bolivar Medical Center. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Breland and Bro. Billy West officiating. Interment will follow in Delta Heights Memorial Garden Cemetery. Mr. Russell was born in Henderson County, Tenn. on July 10, 1919, to Luther and Vivian Dodd Russell. He was a member of First Baptist church in Cleveland and was an active farmer for over 80 years. He farmed in Tennessee and Missouri and began in Mississippi in 1959. On November 26, 1977, he married Lois Merene Donaldson. He was an avid quail hunter and birddog trainer. Mr. Russell was a member of the Bolivar County Farm Bureau, a member of the Bolivar County Soil and Water Conservation, and was a former Board Member of First National Bank of Rosedale. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Vivian Dodd Russell; two sisters, Corinne Dyer and Frances McAdams; one brother, Harold Russell, and his first wife, Hazel Adcock Russell. Mr. Russell is survived by his wife, Lois Merene Russell; one daughter, Charlene Barr (Lanny) of Cleveland; one son, Terry Russell (Linda) of St. Johns, Fla.; five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Brig Aylward, Chris Hardman, Danny Barfield, Danny Griffith, Jerry Kent, and Rodney Lamb. Honorary pallbearers will be David Willingham, Don Aylward, Jerry Daughtery, Jimmy Yeager, John Duncan, Mack Grimmett, Mike Sanders, Pat ingram, and Dr. Steven Clark.
