Goldie Bridges

Goldie Bridges, age 75, of Morrilton, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at St. Vincent Medical Center in Morrilton. She was born Nov. 23, 1937, at Muskogee, Okla. to Robert Ira and Lucy Martin Carr. She was of the Assembly of God faith and loved ceramics with her friends, "The Golden Girls". She was a big Elvis fan and a wonderful cook, seamstress and "Granny". She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Charles Carr. Survivors include her husband, Tommy Bridges; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Debbie Bougher of Atkins and Tim and Luz Bougher of Virginia Beach, Va.; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Mark Scroggins of Conway; three brothers, Ray Carr of Hector, Jim Carr of Dardanelle and Jerry Carr of Little Rock; nine grandchildren, Beaux, Jeffrey, Clint, Eric, Kyle, Carson, Marissa, Leanne and Goldie; and four great-grandchildren. The graveside service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, in the New Hope Cemetery near Jerusalem with the Rev. Mike Chisum officiating and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
