Jackie Kaye Carpenter

Jackie Kaye Carpenter Nelson, 65, of Memphis, Tenn., died Friday, November 8, 2013. She was loved by all and loved many. The world is a better place because of her kindness to people, birds and animals. A loving wife to Hal, her husband throughout their nearly 20 years of marriage, with absolute and unconditional patience and understanding. Preceding her in death were her parents, George W. and Verlyn E. Carpenter of Lepanto, a brother, George Carpenter Jr. of Lepanto and a sister, Melba Carpenter of Marion, Ark. She leaves three nieces, Cathy Moore Hollowell of Cordova, Tenn., Cindi McCreery of Memphis, Tenn., and Paige Moore of Marion, Ark. She also leaves two nephews; Scott Carpenter of Marion and Stan Carpenter of West Memphis, and many grandnieces and grandnephews. A celebration of Jackie's life will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 11 a.m. Close friends and relatives are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude/Ronald McDonald House would be appreciated. Heaven is an even better place now.
