Brinton M. Ramoly, Jr., age 75, of Little Rock, went to his heavenly home November 10, 2013. He was born on February 19, 1938 in Malden, Mo. to the late Brinton and Mary Ramoly.0 He was a loving, dependable family man and was greatly respected by all who knew him. He was known for his subtle wit and generosity. Brinton was the kind of man who taught by example and always put the needs of others first. He loved God, his wife, children, and grandchildren with all his heart. He really enjoyed vacations with the entire family, and golfing and camping with his sons, son-in-law, and grandsons. Brinton loved these outings for the closeness of family. Brinton served eight years in the Arkansas National Guard in the 212 Signal Corps. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Engineering from the University of Arkansas and was a registered professional engineer. He retired as District Manager of Engineering after 31 years with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Afterwards, he worked for 16 years and retired as Director of Information Systems at the Arkansas Public Service Commission. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara; two sons, Scott Ramoly and wife Shari of Springdale, and Brian Ramoly of Cordova, Tenn.; and one daughter, Laura McCarley and husband Steve of Alexander. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Brinton Ramoly and wife Lauren, Cameron Ramoly and wife Jillian, Catherine Ramoly, Laurelyn Ramoly, Jessica McCarley, and Matthew McCarley; and two great-grandchildren, Logan Ramoly and Cadence Ramoly. He is also survived by his dearly loved sisters, Frances Jarvis and husband Wayne, and Sue Abshire and husband Dale; brother-in-law Ed McCrory and wife Judy; and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of The Church at Rock Creek in Little Rock. The family wishes to offer special thanks to Baptist Hospice nurses Dee Dee and Cindy, and aide Shirley, and also to his caregivers with Seniors Helping Seniors, Daryl and Terry. Visitation will be held Friday, November 15th from 5-7 p.m., at Roller Chenal Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be conducted by pastor Greg Kirksey, Saturday, November 16, at 11 a.m. at Roller Chenal Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
